PediScreen — Pediatric Screening
What is PediScreen?
PediScreen is a free pediatric behavioral health and developmental screening platform with anonymous family Lite check-ins and verified provider workspaces. Screening results are not a diagnosis.
Provider and staff access
Providers sign in with an emailed link and are verified by NPI during setup. Staff accounts join workspaces by invitation. Families and teachers completing check-ins need no account or email.
Sessions and room quick screenings
Providers create sessions and share codes or QR links with families and teachers. Room QR links open quick screenings identified by the workspace's shared daily word and a time. Clinic results are sent to the workspace dashboard.
Privacy and retention
No patient names or identifiers are collected. Clinic screening responses and scores are stored for workspace review. Session data is deleted 90 days after expiry; room quick-screening data is deleted 90 days after submission. Anonymous Lite answers stay in the current browser tab and are not sent to anyone.
Free workspace allowance
PediScreen is free. The standard workspace allowance is 100 sessions and quick screenings combined per workspace per month. Responses to existing sessions do not use additional allowance.
Validated screening instruments used in pediatric primary care
- PHQ-A (PHQ-9 Modified for Adolescents) — Teen completes; full nine-item instrument, scored out of 27.
- PHQ-9 — Parent completes; full nine-item instrument, scored out of 27.
- GAD-7 — Teen or parent completes.
- SCARED — Child or parent completes.
- PSC-17 — Child or parent completes.
- Vanderbilt — Parent and teacher forms, with multiple teacher reports supported.
- SWYC and EPDS — Through your provider.
Family Lite check-ins cover mood, worry, behavior and attention. Lite mood uses PHQ-9 (item 9 omitted): eight scored items out of 24, with crisis resources for every score. Item 9 is omitted for safety because no clinician is present to respond.
